   I bought this to replace my dads standard two sided remote for his samsung smart TV because it stopped working. It came out of the box working for his TV, no pairing required and one year later it works just like the day I got it out of the box. My dad likes it a lot better the one that came with his TV because it’s a lot simpler to use than the two sided (one side was a qwerty keyboard and the other controlled the TV) remote he had before that would not always work and would eat batteries.

   Pros
   -No pairing required
   -Simple to see in the dark when lit up.
   -Functions as if it was made for the TV
   -Very reliable

   Cons
   -The buttons aren’t raised to high so it can be a bit hard sometimes to tell which button your pressing without looking unless you get used to it. After a while it doesn’t become a huge issue but every once in a while you find yourself pressing the incorrect button by accident.
   – There is no smart button to get to your apps. After playing around with it we found you can get to your app menu with multiple buttons but the one we use says Internet @ TV

   Overall a fantastic remote to replace our stock broken one. I’d buy one again.

   This is a particularly well made remote control.
   Just place the batteries in and start using it – no programming or set-up required for Samsung TV’s.

   It works with the Samsung F7100 Series Smart TV’s, among many others, and can be used in conjunction with the touch pad remote control that comes with these sets. It is much simpler to jump between channels, change channels, mute, and to view the program TV guide, than with the touch pad remote.

   In Dec ’13, I bought a 65″ Samsung “Smart TV” (7100 Series) and was less than thrilled with the touch-pad on the remote. I bought this unit as a replacement but was a small concerned that all the functions would not be available. I didn’t need to worry. All the functions were there plus it also operated my Panasonic Blu-Ray unit. I like it!
