I own 3 Samsung T.V.s and this is the first I have been extremely disappointed in the functionality of the QWERTY remote for our new 46″ LED TV. The remote is supposed to be Bluetooth which turns out to be a frustratingly weak signal strength and input delays causing multiple presses before the button works. The TV has plenty of clean APPs you can download and play with but if you are prompted to input any words on any APP, besides the Web Browser, the built in keyboard is useless because the TV makes you use a on screen keyboard. Why place a keyboard on the back of the remote if it won’t work with any text inputs (stupid thought). I’m currently looking at new universal remotes to replace the piece of junk.

Poor battery life, June 14, 2012

In addition to being hard to use, this remote burns through batteries about every three-four weeks. After a while, I just wind up using the cable box controller to turn my set on and off. What a waste.

Worst Remote, or Worst Remote EVER?, May 31, 2013

We’ve had our Samsung 55″ TV for over a year now. We hardly use this remote since we have a universal that works with our DirecTV. But, it is used on occasion to use apps, such as Pandora, YouTube, Etc. Firstly, I cannot start to clarify how many batteries we have gone through. Secondly, if we need to search for something (like a YouTube Video), you have to use the on-screen keyboard & cannot use the qwerty that’s built into the actual remote! What the heck was the point of the entire second side of the remote…just to be able to jack up the price of a new one when we need to replace it?! Which brings me to my final point: the remote is literally (yeah, really!) eating batteries now. One day we learned it didn’t work (usual), so went to change the batteries (usual) & upon ejecting the batteries, there was battery acid all over everything (not so usual!). After cleaning everything up & putting all new batteries in, the remote worked for a few days, then it stopped & everything was covered in battery acid again. Time for a new remote… – Really Bummed
